The 29th Annual PNC Festival of Lights, one of the Tristate's longest running holiday traditions, was beautiful and more colorful than ever before with nearly two million LED lights! All holiday lighting used for this event were energy-saving LEDs, helping the Zoo save up to 85% on its electric bill during the event which ran November 25, 2011 - January 1, 2012.
With cameras in hand and all bundled up for the holiday cold weather, thousands celebrated the season strolling through the themed areas from FAIRYLAND to CANDY CANE FOREST to TWINKLE TRAIL and MORE! Annually between 175,000 to 200,000 people visit this holiday favorite and make the PNC Festival of Lights a part of their holiday memories.
It was another year of fun and making spirits bright!
